CHANGING TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

WHAT WE CAN DO FOR YOU
Where and where we can travel in the world is changing so quickly it’s hard to keep up. The European Union announced on April 25th that American tourists who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 will be able to visit over the summer. The details are still being worked out.
With that said, some European counties have already lifted their ban to US citizens if you meet certain criteria. My agency has partnered with a service to give us up to date requirements of travel and health restrictions by destination. This online tool gives our advisors the ability to quickly access and understand up-to-date country specific entry requirements for testing, vaccines, quarantine measures, documentation and more.
For instance, Maria, one of our advisors is escorting a group to Croatia and Slovenia in September of this year. We went to our online tool and put in that she wanted to travel to Croatia on September 9th. The message we received was this: “Most travelers from Oregon can enter Croatia, but there are restrictions.” The restrictions that pertained to Maria’s group read: “Persons who travel for tourist reasons and have a certificate of paid accommodation in a hotel, camp, private renter or rented vessel and other form of tourist accommodation or are owners of
houses or vessels in the Republic of Croatia can travel there.” Good news for Maria and and her group!
Next, we needed to find out if her group could get into neighboring Slovenia. Putting in the necessary information brought several responses. The one that was relevant to Maria’s group was: “Travelers with proof of COVID-19 vaccination showing that at least 7 days have passed since taking the 2nd dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, at least 14 days since the 2nd dose of the Moderna vaccine, or 21 days since the 1st dose of the AstraZeneca, Sputnik V or Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine can travel to Slovenia.”
The small ship Maria’s group is sailing on in Croatia allows fully vaccinated passengers only.
The trip is booked with flights to and from Croatia, 7 night small yacht cruise around the Croatian Islands, and a week touring Slovenia. All passengers purchased travel insurance that we require.
